Ob das eine gute Idee ist?<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Wie in der Pressemitteilung der FDA vom 23.12.2021, &#8222;<em>FDA Authorizes Marketing of Tobacco Products that Help Reduce Exposure to and Consumption of Nicotine for Smokers Who Use Them &#8211; <\/em><em>FDA genehmigt die Vermarktung von Tabakprodukten, die dazu beitragen, die Exposition gegen\u00fcber und den Konsum von Nikotin bei Rauchern zu reduzieren, die diese verwenden<\/em>&#8220; <span id='easy-footnote-1-11333' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/dampffreiheit.de\/blog\/2022\/01\/us-fda-genehmigt-vlnc-ein-irrweg\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-11333' title='&lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-authorizes-marketing-tobacco-products-help-reduce-exposure-and-consumption-nicotine-smokers-who&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=&quot;noopener&quot;&gt;https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-authorizes-marketing-tobacco-products-help-reduce-exposure-and-consumption-nicotine-smokers-who&lt;\/a&gt;'><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span>, zu lesen ist, hat diese der Firma 22nd Century Group die Vermarktung von VLNCs als Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP), Modifiziertes Risiko Tabakprodukte, mit folgenden Aussagen genehmigt:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Die\u00a0Anordnungen zur \u00c4nderung der Exposition <span id='easy-footnote-2-11333' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/dampffreiheit.de\/blog\/2022\/01\/us-fda-genehmigt-vlnc-ein-irrweg\/#easy-footnote-bottom-2-11333' title='&lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/tobacco-products\/advertising-and-promotion\/modified-risk-granted-orders&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=&quot;noopener&quot;&gt;https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/tobacco-products\/advertising-and-promotion\/modified-risk-granted-orders&lt;\/a&gt;'><sup>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0erm\u00e4chtigen den Hersteller ausdr\u00fccklich, \u201eVLN King\u201c und \u201eVLN Menthol King\u201c mit bestimmten Angaben zu einer reduzierten Exposition in Bezug auf Nikotin zu vermarkten, einschlie\u00dflich:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201e95 % weniger Nikotin.\u201c<\/li>\n<li>&#8222;Hilft Ihren Nikotinkonsum zu reduzieren.&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>&#8222;&#8230;Reduziert Ihren Nikotinkonsum erheblich.&#8220;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bei Verwendung einer der Angaben zur Reduzierung der Exposition auf dem Produktetikett, der Etikettierung oder der Werbung muss das Unternehmen Folgendes angeben: \u201eHelfen Ihnen, weniger zu rauchen\u201c.\u00a0Die FDA empfiehlt auch, dass die Kennzeichnung und Werbung die Aussage \u201eNikotin macht s\u00fcchtig.\u00a0Weniger Nikotin bedeutet NICHT sicherer.\u00a0Alle Zigaretten k\u00f6nnen Krankheiten und den Tod verursachen.\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Die FDA geht anscheinend davon aus, dass durch Niedrig-Nikotin-Zigaretten weniger geraucht wird. Nach Angaben des Herstellers <span id='easy-footnote-3-11333' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/dampffreiheit.de\/blog\/2022\/01\/us-fda-genehmigt-vlnc-ein-irrweg\/#easy-footnote-bottom-3-11333' title='&lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/www.xxiicentury.com\/tobacco-franchise\/vln&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=&quot;noopener&quot;&gt;https:\/\/www.xxiicentury.com\/tobacco-franchise\/vln&lt;\/a&gt;'><sup>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> ist in den VLNCs nur 0,5mg Nikotin pro Gramm Tabak enthalten. Im Vergleich dazu hat eine normale Tabakzigarette ca. 1mg pro Gramm Tabak.<\/p>\n<p>Dabei hat Mike Russell es auf den Punkt gebracht:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Die Menschen rauchen wegen dem Nikotin, sterben aber am Teer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Irgendwie passt das f\u00fcr mich nicht richtig zusammen, Nikotin f\u00fcr sich ist kaum suchterzeugend. Die Kombination mit der Tabakverbrennung macht die Sucht aus. Wenn nun also \u00e4usserst wenig Nikotin in solchen Zigaretten vorhanden ist, dann frage ich mich wie Raucher damit umgehen. Durch die Selbsttitration versucht ein Raucher (aber auch Dampfer) ihren pers\u00f6nlichen Nikotinspiegel zu erreichen <span id='easy-footnote-4-11333' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/dampffreiheit.de\/blog\/2022\/01\/us-fda-genehmigt-vlnc-ein-irrweg\/#easy-footnote-bottom-4-11333' title='&lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/nzillatron.wordpress.com\/2017\/05\/20\/titration-theories\/&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=&quot;noopener&quot;&gt;https:\/\/nzillatron.wordpress.com\/2017\/05\/20\/titration-theories\/&lt;\/a&gt;'><sup>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00f6nnte es dann nicht eher sein, dass Raucher, welche solche Produkte nutzen, doch eher mehr Rauchen und somit noch mehr sch\u00e4dliche, krebserzeugende Verbrennungsstoffe inhalieren?<\/p>\n<p>Oder es kommt vielleicht wie mit dem Nischenprodukt Kr\u00e4uterzigaretten aus der Apotheke, welche die wenigsten nutzen?<\/p>\n<p>Clive Bates fragt sich zu recht in seinem Artikel, &#8222;<em>FDA spreads confusion about nicotine and smoking &#8211; FDA verbreitet Verwirrung \u00fcber Nikotin und Rauchen<\/em>&#8220; <span id='easy-footnote-5-11333' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/dampffreiheit.de\/blog\/2022\/01\/us-fda-genehmigt-vlnc-ein-irrweg\/#easy-footnote-bottom-5-11333' title='&lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/clivebates.com\/fda-spreads-confusion-about-nicotine-and-smoking\/&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=&quot;noopener&quot;&gt;https:\/\/clivebates.com\/fda-spreads-confusion-about-nicotine-and-smoking\/&lt;\/a&gt;'><sup>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span>, was soll da schon schief gehen?<\/p>\n<p>Seiner Meinung nach, versteht die FDA das Suchtverhalten von Rauchern nicht, da solche Niedrig-Nikotin-Zigaretten auch negative Auswirkungen haben wie z.B. Entzugserscheinungen. Davor wird nicht gewarnt. Zudem impliziert die FDA, dass Nikotin ein problematischer Stoff ist. Schon heute glauben viele Menschen f\u00e4lschlicherweise das Nikotin krebserzeugend ist. Dies ist aber nicht der Fall, es sind die Verbrennungsstoffe im Tabakrauch!<\/p>\n<p>Es bleibt nun abzuwarten wie sich der Markt entwickelt. Vermutlich wird es eine Menge Werbung daf\u00fcr geben und wenn es nicht gut l\u00e4uft, k\u00f6nnte 22nd Century Group Druck auf die FDA aus\u00fcben regul\u00e4re Tabakzigaretten zu verbieten.<\/p>\n<p>Offen ist auch die Frage, wie sollen Angestellte aus dem Gesundheitsbereich mit diesem Produkt umgehen? Sollen sie Rauchern dazu raten auf VLNCs umzusteigen? Dabei k\u00f6nnten diese heute schon Rauchstoppwillige dazu beraten, rauchfrei Produkte zu nutzen, wie E-Zigarette, Tabakerhitzer oder Snus.<\/p>\n<p>Clive Bates zitiert in seinem Beitrag Prof. David Sweanor:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Wenn man den Verbrauchern das Nikotin wegnimmt, um ihnen das Rauchen abzugew\u00f6hnen, k\u00f6nnte das bei einigen Menschen tats\u00e4chlich funktionieren. Aber es sieht sehr nach einem Versuch aus, Waffengewalt zu beenden, indem man Versionen vermarktet, die keine Kugeln abfeuern k\u00f6nnen.
